1. General provisions
This Privacy Policy explains how Own Capital Ltd processes personal data in connection with the use of www.owncapital.lv, communication with the Company and the provision of strategic capital and corporate finance advisory services. Personal data are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), applicable Latvian legislation and other relevant legal requirements.

3. Personal data we process
We may process your name, surname, email address, telephone number, company name, job title, the content of your contact form or email and any other information you voluntarily provide. Where a client relationship is established, we also process information required for contractual and billing purposes.
4. Purposes of processing
We process personal data to respond to enquiries, arrange meetings, assess potential cooperation, enter into and perform contracts, provide strategic capital and corporate finance advisory services, operate our website and comply with applicable legal obligations.
5. Legal basis
Personal data are processed on the legal bases set out in Article 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f) GDPR, including consent where applicable, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations and Own Capital's legitimate interests.
6. Data recipients
Personal data may be shared with website hosting providers, the contact form provider (e.g. Formspree), Google Analytics (if implemented), legal advisers, accountants and IT service providers where necessary for service delivery or compliance with legal obligations.
7. Data retention
Contact enquiries are generally retained for up to 24 months after the last communication. Client records and accounting documents are retained in accordance with contractual obligations and applicable legislation.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, request rectification or erasure, restrict or object to processing where applicable, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate.
9. Security
Own Capital implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss.
10. Cookies
If Google Analytics or other analytics tools are implemented on the website, their use will be described in a separate Cookie Policy and activated in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
